PAWTUCKET — Four women were arrested for prostitution and two men with solicitation on Thursday night following an investigation by Pawtucket Police of complaints of suspicious activity in the Barton Street area.
According to Pawtucket Police, after receiving numerous complaints regarding prostitution taking place, undercover officers were sent to the area.
During the investigation, a female undercover officer was solicited for sex in exchange for money by two males.
Also during the investigation, undercover male officers were solicited for sex in exchange for money by four females, police said.
The six individuals who were arrested were: Laura Cusson, 44, of Pawtucket, charged with loitering for prostitution; Deana D. Gill, 38, of Cranston, charged with loitering for prostitution; Linda Serpa L'Heureux, 48, of Pawtucket, charged with loitering for prostitution; Maryann Rodriguez, 33, of Pawtucket, charged with loitering for prostitution, Jomil Rodriguez, 26, of Central Falls, charged with procurement of sexual conduct; and Edgar Del Cid, 27, of Central Falls, charged with soliciting from motor vehicle for indecent purposes.
All of those charged were held overnight and brought before the District Court in Providence for arraignment on Friday, police said..
