SEEKONK - Rachel Elinor (Cowles) Monty, 92, formerly of Ellis St., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Linn Health Care Center, East Providence. She was the former wife of the late Leo T. Monty, Sr. Born in Northampton, MA, she was a daughter of the late Winfred P. and Jennie (Kentfield) Cowles.

Jose F. Furtado
PAWTUCKET - Jose F. Furtado, 77 died Friday at his home in Pawtucket. He was the husband of Maria L. (Botelho Medeiros) Furtado. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Furtado. Jose came to the United States in 1980 and settled in Pawtucket.
Prior to his retirement in 2000 he worked as a machine operator for Elizabeth Webbing in Central Falls. He volunteered and was a member of the Amigos das Terceira and he played for the Holy Spirit Committee and Rancho of St. Anthony's.

Eunice M. Simmons
PAWTUCKET - Eunice M. (Oakland) Simmons, 96, of Salem, NY and formerly of Pawtucket died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Queensbury, NY. She was the wife of the late George F. Simmons.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Millichamp) Oakland, she had lived in Pawtucket all of her life before moving to New York 9 years ago.
Mrs. Simmons was a bookkeeper for the Pelletier Trucking Company, Pawtucket before retiring. She was a 1933 graduate of Pawtucket High School.

Stanislaw Mach
CUMBERLAND - Stanislaw Mach, 81, passed away Thursday May 9, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Stanislawa (Markocki) Mach.
Born in Grodzisko Dolne, Podkarpackie, Poland he was a son of the late Antoni and Maria (Przeszlo) Mach. He lived in Cumberland for the past 12 years and was formerly of Central Falls.
Before retiring he was employed as a Machine Operator for Ocean State Finishing Co. of Woonsocket.

CUMBERLAND - Mary T. Plant, 86, passed May 15th with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Milton W. Plant.
Mary was the daughter of the late Aborn and Mary (Burns) Snow.
She retired from the Cumberland School Department and had also worked for Ann & Hope of Cumberland.

NORTH PROVIDENCE - Ernest J. Feuti, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Janice M. (Banach) Feuti. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Antoinetta (Prete) Feuti. Ernest was a member of the Attleboro Lodge of Elks # 1014 and the Fraternal Order of Police Associates.
Ernest leaves his siblings, Eleanor M. Peloquin and her husband, Noel of Pawtucket and Robert G. Feuti and his wife, Roberta of Charlestown, RI and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carolyn Duquette.

CUMBERLAND - Jessica L. Alves, 38, died Friday, May 10, 2013 at home. Born in Pawtucket. She was a daughter of John and Gayle (Vose) Alves.
Beside her parents, she leaves a daughter, Ociana Liberty Alves, a son, Kyle Alves, a brother, Christian Richard, a sister, Nicole M. Alves and her godfather, Daniel J. Alves.

Mary Berard
CUMBERLAND - Mary Gertrude (Davis) Berard, 88, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul F. Berard. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Christopher and Catherine (Goodwin) Davis, she resided in Cumberland since 1955.
Mrs. Berard had been employed by Fram; the Cumberland School Lunch Program and Texas Instruments until retiring in 1988. She was a former volunteer at the Memorial Hospital of RI and was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Bowling League.

ATTLEBORO - Virginia M. (Herrell) Smith, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Alton Smith. Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Charity (Brown) Herrell.
Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pawtucket, and worked as braider at Rhode Island Textile, Pawtucket, for many years until retiring in 1989.

PAWTUCKET - Amaral, Gilberta "Betty", age 81, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Friday, May 10, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the wife of the late Antonio F. Amaral. Born March 15, 1932 in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Horacio and Gloria (Almeida) Andre.
Mrs. Amaral was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church. She worked for many years at A.T. Cross before retiring in 1994.
