William H. Carnahan
GREENVILLE - William H. Carnahan, 87 of Greenville died February 22, 2013 at Cortland Place. He was the husband of Gwendolyn E. (Fitzpatrick) Carnahan.
Mr. Carnahan was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Son of the late William Carnahan Sr. and Virginia (Telford) Carnahan. He was employed by DeBlois Oil as an oil driver for fifteen years. He was a Buck Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and loved traveling.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons William H. F. Carnahan of Tampa, FL and David Carnahan of Cumberland, RI. His sister Virginia Carnahan and his brother Norman Carnahan. His grandchildren Sean, Erin and Ryan Carnahan.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1 pm in the chapel at Cortland Place 20 Austin Ave. Greenville, RI. For online condolences, please visit
