Two indicted on robbery, conspiracy charges

PROVIDENCE — A 22-year-old Pawtucket man was indicted by a Providence County Grand Jury on Jan. 4 on robbery and conspiracy charges.
Rosivelte Lopes, of Jefferson Avenue, was indicted with one count of first degree robbery and conspiracy, according to the Office of Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin. It is alleged that on or about Oct. 5, 2012, Lopes and two unidentified co-conspirators robbed an individual, with the robbery being in the first degree. The alleged incident took place in Pawtucket, and the Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation.
Lopes has been held without bail since his arrest on Oct. 7, 2012, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Jan. 23.
Additionally on Jan. 4, the Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging a Central Falls man, Helberth Perez, with six counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of second-degree sexual assault.
It is alleged that on or about dates between March 1, 2012 and July 23, 2012, the 38-year-old Perez sexually assaulted an individual on multiple occasions, with the assaults being in the first and second degree. The alleged incidents took place in Central Falls, and the Central Falls Police conducted the investigation.
Perez, of Perry Street, has been held without bail since his arrest on July 25, 2012, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Jan. 23.
