Survey: Not much litter in RI cities

PAWTUCKET – Like a doctor in search of germs, Dianne Mailloux has taken a microscope to the traffic arteries of the Blackstone Valley in search of another kind of infestation.
Accompanied by a team of note-jotting student interns, the coordinator of Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful has traveled from the back roads of Burrillville to the avenues of Pawtucket – nine cities and towns in all – looking for the unsightly scourge or litter, graffiti and grunge.
Her prognosis?
Let’s just say it could have been a lot worse.
