Ruth Grace Gauvin
PAWTUCKET - Ruth Grace (Delaney) Gauvin of Pawtucket passed away on March 31, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Raymond E. Gauvin.
Ruth was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Miller) Delaney. She worked in the emergency room at the Memorial Hospital of RI and served as President of the Pawtucket Jr. Woman's Club for many years. Ruth was a very loving person who treated everyone like family and would always lend a helping hand or words of encouragement. Ruth will be sadly missed because she truly made the world a better place.
Besides her husband Ray, Ruth is survived by her sons; Robert E. Gauvin and his partner Jim of New Jersey, Ronald J. Gauvin and his wife Lenora of Cranston, Russell F. Gauvin and his wife Myrna of Hawaii, and Richard R. Gauvin and his wife Sandy of Narragansett. She also leaves her nine grandchildren Jennifer, Jerome, Ryan, Mark, Adam, Jeffrey, Zachary, Nicholas, and Victoria. She was the sister of the late Donald and Lois Delaney.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Gauvin on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Holy Family Parish Church, Formerly St. Joseph's, Church, 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket. There will be visitation for Mrs. Gauvin on Thursday morning, prior to the funeral from 8:30 am until 10:30 am in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
