Roger O. Dupre Jr.
CUMBERLAND - Roger O. Dupre Jr., 53, of Rhode Island Ave., passed away Wednesday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Hemond) Dupre.
Born in Providence he was the son of the Shirley A. (Sailsbury) Dupre of Central Falls and the late Roger O. Dupre Sr. He was a life long Cumberland Resident.
He was employed by the A. H. Harris Co., Plainville, MA for the past 1 1/2 years and was previously employed by the Lorusso Corp., Plainville, MA for 14 years.
Roger was a former Boy Scouts of America Leader, he was also an avid N. Y. Giants fan.
Besides his wife and mother he leaves a daughter, Elizabeth A. Simon and her husband Alan of Cumberland and one son Michael A. Dupre also of Cumberland. Four brothers, William Dupre of Pawtucket; Brian Dupre and Robert Dupre of Lincoln and Kevin Dupre of North Providence. He also leaves two loving grandchildren, Kyle and Colin Simon of Cumberland.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
