Robert J. Pickett
LINCOLN- Robert J. Pickett, 66, formerly of Walker Avenue, passed away Sunday in the U.S. Veterans Hospital, West Roxbury, MA.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William J. and Lucina (Rooney) Pickett. He resided in Norton, MA, for the past 7 years.
He served his county honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Bob was an avid golfer. He was a past president of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Broad Street, Cumberland.
He leaves his children, Robert J. Pickett II of Norton, MA and Jodie M. Fletcher of Huntley, IL; five siblings, Carol Medeiros, Gail Dunphy and Kenneth Pickett, all of Lincoln, Linda Joseph of Pawtucket, and Nancy Mancuso of Bristol; five beloved grandchildren, Cooper and Brody Pickett, Selena, Ciera, and Charlotte Jo Fletcher, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9 AM in St. Jude Church, Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 from 5 to 9 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.
