PAWTUCKET - Robert Fay, 77, of Lowell Avenue, Pawtucket, passed away on August 21, 2012 at his home. He was born in Pawtucket to the late John E. and Agnes (Boland) Fay.
Robert was a retiree from the US Naval Reserves and worked in Security for many years at Lincoln Downs Racing Association, Narragansett Park and Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Local 251 Teamsters Union and was a fan of the Yankees and Patriots as well as being a thoroughbred racing enthusiast and enjoyed walking on the beach admiring the sunsets.
Mr. Fay leaves his life partner, Natalie Medeiros, his brother, James P. Fay of North Kingstown, his sister, Ellen Shannon of Dennisport, MA and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Philip S. Fay, John E. Fay, Jr. and Mary Carr.
Robert's funeral service will be held Friday, August 24th at 9:00 am in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Holy Family Parish, Walcott Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 am to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery in Pawtucket. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 pm to7:00 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, North Team, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in Robert's name.
