PAWTUCKET - Richard "Chard" John Joseph, 63, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday.
Born in Pawtucket, a lifelong resident of the city, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Joseph. Mr. Joseph had been employed by the Ferland Corporation in the maintenance department. Chard was a avid fisherman and a New England sports enthusiast and a big practical joker who enjoyed making people laugh.
He leaves a son Chad Arango of Cumberland, 2 daughters, Heather Montijo of Lincoln and Renee Lind of Cranston. He was the father of the late Richard Jamie Joseph who passed away in 2011. He also leaves 3 sisters, Margaret Falcone of Cranston, Lillian Joseph of Pawtucket, and Theresa Joseph of Central Falls; 4 brothers, Gary and John Joseph and James Reis all of Pawtucket, "Mac" McLaughlin of Vancouver, B.C. And 8 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St., Central Falls. Visitation, Wednesday, 5 until 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
