Raymond E. Riendeau
PAWTUCKET - Raymond E. Riendeau, 80 of Pawtucket died Friday at his home. He was the husband of the late Claire(LaPorte) Riendeau. Born in Albany, VT he was the son of the late Eugene and Gertrude (Authier) Riendeau. He has been a Pawtucket resident most of his life.
Raymond is a Navy veteran and served on the USS Oriskany in the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he was employed for many years by the City of Pawtucket and was a Sexton at St. Cecilia's Parish in Pawtucket, RI. He was involved in Cub and Boy Scouts Troop 28 at St. Cecilia's and a member of LeFoyer.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Riendeau of Pawtucket, David Riendeau of Pawtucket, Joel Riendeau of Pawtucket, Richard Riendeau of Billerica, MA and Daniel Riendeau of Cumberland, RI; a daughter Diane Riendeau of Pawtucket; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter; a sister, Aline Smith of Peabody, MA.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME 643 Main Street, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Pope John Paul II Church at 11:30. Raymonds life will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday from 2:00 5:00p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial with Military Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Exeter to follow at a later date.
