Omer J. Sicard
PAWTUCKET - Omer J. Sicard, 74, died peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Providence. He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Omer and Imelda (Samson) Sicard and lived his entire life in the Blackstone Valley. He retired after more than thirty years as a froster from Osram-Sylvania, Central Falls. Omer was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea during the Vietnam Era.
He leaves a brother Alfred Sicard of Pawtucket and 10 nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond and Roland Sicard, Irene Donovan, and Sr. Cecile Sicard of the Carmelites Order.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Cecilia's Church, Blessed John Paul II Parish, 750 Central Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours respectfully omitted. Memorial donations in his memory to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island would be appreciated.
