PAWTUCKET Maria Tokarz, 91, passed away Sunday January 26, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Tokarz.
Born in Luslawice, Poland she was a daughter of the late Jan and Ludwika (Duda) Jurek. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 61 years.
Before retiring She was employed as a Weaver in the Blackstone Valley area for many years.
She was member of St. Joseph's Church Holy Rosary Society and a member of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 677.
Mrs. Tokarz is survived by two sons, Steven Tokarz and his wife Barbara of Pawtucket and Walter Tokarz and his wife Boguslawa of Rehoboth four grandchildren, Jean Duffy and her husband Tom, Andrew Tokarz and his wife Sharon, Dr. Rosalyn Tokarz and Michael Tokarz. She also leaves four great grandchildren Tommy and Maxwell Duffy and Jacob and Drew Tokarz, one brother Bronislaw Jurek of Poland, nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Friday January 31, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street, Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS THURSDAY FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to St. Joseph's Church Renovation Fund in her Memory would be greatly appreciated. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
