James John Shea
NEWPORT, NC - James J. Shea, 69, formerly of Cumberland, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 surrounded by his family at Crystal Coast Hospice House in North Carolina. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Roy) Shea.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late James A. and Mary (O'Connor) Shea. He was raised in Cumberland and resided there until he moved to North Carolina in 2003.
He was the co-owner of Shea's auto body and also worked several years at Hattaras Yachts before retiring in 2011. During his retirement he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by two daughters, Wendy A. Zagroski and husband Michael of Pawtucket, and Brandy L. Tanguay and husband Michael of Lincoln, two sisters Ann Marie Poli of Cumberland, and Mary B. Woods of Fort St. Lucie, FL; one brother John E. Shea of St. Paul, MN; and four grandchildren Josh Zagroski, Jessica Zagroski, Gracin Tanguay, and Ella Shea Tanguay.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity- www.habitat.org, or the Hospice of your choice.
A graveside service will be held May 3, 2014, at 11 A.M. in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Curran Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
