James A. Grant
PAWTUCKET - James A. Grant, 79, of Pawtucket, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William and Esther (Barton) Grant. James was a machine operator for Texas Instruments for many years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne for the Army. He was an avid bowler and played on many leagues. In his later years he took up sculpting amazing life-size statues.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth and Michael Grant, one daughter, Cheryl Chaplin, two grandchildren, Kayla Grant and Michael Smart, one sister, Mary Ferland, and one brother, Robert Grant. He was the brother of the late Martha and William Grant.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10am in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. www.rifuneral.com
