PAWTUCKET - Gertrude Lebeau, 90, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Leo Lebeau. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Houston) Vashey. Mrs. Lebeau was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, Edward, Norman, and Stephen Lebeau, Dorothy Caprina, and Joan Bilouris, two sisters, Dorothy Piche and Joan Sosville, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Robert and Raymond Lebeau, and was a sister of the late Edward Vashey.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Leo the Great Church of Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish, 697 Central Ave, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-7pm.
