Fred H. Brown
CUMBERLAND - Fred H. Brown, 85 of Chambers Street, formerly of Read Street, Attleboro, passed away Wednesday at the Grandview Center, Cumberland. He was the beloved husband of Lucy E. (Marshall) Brown and they had been married for 65 years.
Born in Cedarville, NJ, and he was the son of the late Harry C. and Minnie (Erwin) Brown. He resided in Attleboro for 15 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Mr. Brown was the owner of F.H. Brown Machine Company for over 25 years, retiring in 1996.
He leaves his loving daughter Brenda L. Scown and her husband Gregory of Cumberland; one cherished grandson, Gregory G. Scown II of California as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Harry Brown, Oliver Brown and Dorothy Morrissey.
The family would like to also thank the staff at the Grandview Center for the care Mr. Brown received during his time at their facility.
At his request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, One Moeller Place, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or to the Meeting Street School, 1000 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02905.
