CUMBERLAND - Francisco DaSilva, 91, of Cumberland passed away Sunday. He was the husband of the late Maria Emilia (Machado) NDaSilva.
Born in Cedros, Faial, Acores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Rosa DaSilva. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
Mr. DaSilva was employed at American Insulated Wire Co. for many years until his retirement.
He leaves his beloved daughter with whom he lived for the past 17 years, Marie Santos and her husband Aurelio "Al" of Cumberland; one grandson, Derek Santos; two granddaughters, Stephanie Sarmento and her husband Fred, and Kellie Tolley and her husband Darren; as well as one great-granddaughter Brooke Sarmento. He was the brother of the late Manuel, Jose and Antonio DaSilva.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
