Elizabeth H. Crowe
CUMBERLAND - Elizabeth H. Crowe, 86, passed away Saturday at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the widow of Russell Crowe.
Born in North Scituate, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Eva (St. Onge) Crowley. She moved to and settled in Cumberland in 1939.
She worked for the former Sidney Blumenthal Spinning Co., Cumberland and later for the former Peterson Puritan Co., and former Best Foods Co. as secretary to the Technical Director for 24 years. She was also a volunteer for the Respite Program at the former Notre Dame Hospital, Central Falls. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and puzzles.
She leaves three sisters, Beatrice Vincent of East Providence; Beverly Dubois and Jean Palmer both of Cumberland. Three brothers; Arthur, David and James Crowley all of Cumberland and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Shirley Robertson, Gertrude Lallier, Doris Mollis, Cornelius, Richard and Clarence Crowley.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
