PAWTUCKET - Fisher, Deirdre M., 79, of Brookdale Boulevard, Pawtucket, died February 13, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mark Fisher III.
Mrs. Fisher was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Asa and Vera (Decker) Pond. She worked in the Emergency Room of Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket for many years. Deirdre sang with the Rhode Island Civic Choral and Philharmonic for over twenty years.
Deirdre leaves her sons, Dr. Jay D. Fisher of Las Vegas and Keith A. Fisher of Barrington, two granddaughters, Cameron and Sloane Fisher and her sister Carol Burnham. She is predeceased by her sister Sylvia Saverine.
Mrs. Fisher's funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 am in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with calling hours beginning at 9:00 am. For directions and guest book signatures, please visit
