CENTRAL FALLS – A Central Falls woman was arrested Friday and charged with selling crack cocaine from her home on Lincoln Avenue.
Andrea Diaz, of 119 Lincoln Ave., was arrested after members of the Central Falls Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a narcotics search of her first-floor apartment.
Police said during a two month investigation, it was discovered that Diaz was selling crack cocaine from her apartment. On April 2, detectives executed a search warrant at the same address to Diaz’ boyfriend, Richard Santiago, who was charged with manufacturing with intent to deliver and distribute cocaine near a school zone.
During Friday’s search of Diaz’s apartment, detectives located a small amount of crack cocaine and 19 Diazepam pills. Diaz was located outside the apartment as detectives arrived.
She was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with possession of Schedule I-V and Schedule IV narcotics.
She was held overnight and transported to District Court for arraignment Friday morning. She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled back in court in October.
