C.F. man faces drug charges; roommate is on the lam

April 27, 2012

CENTRAL FALLS – Police arrested one city man this week on several drug charges and are looking for his roommate for the same charges, plus additional infractions.
Members of the Central Falls Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a search warrant late Wednesday afternoon at 681 Pine St. —a first-floor apartment. The focus of the investigation was on Pajuan D. Draper, 23, who rents the apartment, and his roommate Dwayne E. Harley, 22, according to police.
While conducting a systematic search of the apartment, members of SIU located substantial amounts of marijuana, cocaine, packaging material and other drug paraphernalia, according to police. Along with the drugs, authorities seized a .38-caliber revolver stolen out of Wichita, Kan.
Draper was arrested at the scene and held overnight until his arraignment Thursday morning on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, controlled substance conspiracy, and distributing controlled substances near a school, police said. He is both a District Court and Superior Court violator and is being held without bail on the new charges. Draper’s next appearance in court is June 28 for a pre-arraignment conference.
Meanwhile, an arrest warrant was signed for Harley on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, controlled substance conspiracy, distributing controlled substances near a school, carrying a stolen firearm during the commission of a crime, felony count of receiving stolen goods, and felony count of possession of property stolen out of state.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dwayne E. Harley is urged to contact the Central Falls Police Department at 401-727-7411.
