Armando A. Sousa
CENTRAL FALLS - Armando A. Sousa, 76 of Central Falls died Sunday at the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital. He is the husband of Paulina (Mendes) Sousa. He is the son of the late Maximino and Serafina (Rodrigues) Sousa. Born in the Azores, he came to the United States in 1971 and settled in Pawtucket. Armando moved to Central Falls in 2007.
Prior to his retirement, Armando worked as a butcher at Portion Meats in Providence, RI.
Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Jose Sousa of Portsmouth; his two daughters, Maria Sousa of Central Falls and Serafina Laroche of Florida; and 7 grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edwards Church, Weeden Street at 10:00 a.m. Armando's life will be celebrated with calling hours on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
