Anita E. Fredette
PAWTUCKET - Anita E. Fredette, 86, died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on Wednesday, February 27 surrounded by her loving family. She resided at the Chestnut Terrace Nursing Home in East Providence for the past three years. She was the beloved wife of the late Armand R. Fredette, Sr. who she was married to for 56 years. She was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Desrochers) Moreau and lived most of her life in the Blackstone Valley area. She was an avid BINGO player and created many crocheted works of art for her family. She was most proud of her role as homemaker and Memere to her grandchildren.
She leaves her children, Armand R. Fredette, Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Denise R. Dupre and her husband Eugene, Joan C. Boss and her husband Richard, all of Pawtucket, and David G. Fredette and his wife Susan of Somerset. She also leaves her sister, Noella Bricault of Attleboro, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late J. Henry Moreau and Lillian Emond.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 4th from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Avenue at 9:00 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Teresa's Church, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home on Sunday, March 3rd from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donation to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
