Adelina M. Faria
PAWTUCKET - Adelina M. (Medeiros) Faria, 59, passed away Monday at the Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Rosa (Melo) Medeiros. She moved to this country in 1971, settling in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Faria was employed as a Jeweler for the Monet Inc. of Pawtucket for over 20 years, but most recently was employed by Accutech Inc. of Foxboro for the past four years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, Pawtucket. She was a very active member of the church, helping during many of the events and feasts. She most of all adored her grandchildren and cherished time spent with them.
She leaves her children, Roberto Faria, and Rosemary Vanasse and her husband Brian, all of Pawtucket; her brothers, Joe Medeiros of Pawtucket and Alfredo Medeiros of Cumberland; two grandchildren, Jacob and Brian Vanasse; as well as two nephews, one niece, and one great-niece.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
