George F. Henry III
LINCOLN - George F. Henry III, of Lincoln, died Sunday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George F. and
Shirley A. (Hale) Henry, and step-son of the late Raymond T. Foran.
He was self employed as a home improvement specialist.
Nicholas E. Scofield
CENTRAL FALLS - Nicholas E. Scofield, 31, passed on February 20th after a long fight with Leukemia.
He was the son of Nicholas E. Villella and the late Susan Burke.
Besides his father he is survived by a sister, Gina Villella, two brothers, James and Jason Scofield and his grandmother Alice Burke. Nicholas will be sadly missed by his niece and nephew Kayla and Ryan.
Olimpia C. dos Santos
CUMBERLAND - Olimpia C. (Martins) dos Santos, 90, of High Street, formerly of Lusitana Avenue, Cumberland, passed away Sunday at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Jose dos Santos.
Born in Acores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Crispim and Barbora (Polonio) Martins. She moved to this country in 1968, settling in Cumberland.
Mrs. dos Santos was employed as a Machine Operator for the American Insulated Wire Company for 10 years, retiring in 1985.
Mary L. Mulberry
PAWTUCKET - Mary L. Mulberry of School Street, Pawtucket passed away, peacefully, on February 21, 2014.
She was the wife of the late David Mulberry and the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Fallon) Bowker.
Mrs. Mulberry was a retired nurse who enjoyed cooking, singing and Jeopardy.
She is survived by her daughters, Beth Schultz of Attleboro MA, and Carrie Mulberry of Pawtucket. She is also survived by her grandsons, Timothy and Samuel Schultz.
Alzira C. Lemos
CUMBERLAND - Alzira C. (Martins) Lemos, 92, of Broad Street died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Chestnut Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Providence. She was the wife of the late Albano A. Lemos. After her husband's death in 1983, she has resided with Martinho and Helena Batista.
Born in Portugal, a daughter of the late Jacinto and Arminda (Mendes) Martins, she had lived in Cumberland for over 40 years.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Raymond F. Murray
PAWTUCKET - Raymond F. Murray, 89, passed away Friday February 21st, 2014 , peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Arlene F. (Kingsbury) Murray for over 58 years. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late James J. and Mary (Smith) Murray.
Raymond was a Veteran of WWII serving 6 years with the Merchant Marines. He proudly served 35 years with the Pawtucket Fire Dept., retiring as Battalion Chief in 1984.
Thomas J. McCarthy Sr
LINCOLN - Thomas J. McCarthy Sr., 65, of Betty St. passed away Thursday at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (Palin) McCarthy.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Charles and Marion (Gallager) McCarthy Sr. He resided in Lincoln for the past 38 years.
Thomas was employed by the R.I. State Police and had worked out of the Wickford Barracks for 18 1/2 years until his retirement in 2012.
He was a communicant of St. Jude Church, Lincoln and was a member of the Laborers International Local 808.
Joseph F. Palana
SEEKONK - Joseph F. Palana, 92, of Newman Ave., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Taipe) Palana for 32 years. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John and Mary (Donato) Palana, he resided in Seekonk since 1954.
Joe was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran; member of the Armistice Post American Legion and the Attleboro Lodge of Elks. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Seekonk, (formerly St. Mary Parish) and a member of the OLQM Senior Saints.

Francis X. Snee and the mother of Gerald P. Snee CRNA of Rehoboth, Joseph F. Snee of Seekonk and Robert M. Snee Esq. of Portland, OR.

CUMBERLAND - Theresa M. Brunelle, 89, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Brunelle, Sr. Born in Canada, she was the daughter of the late Telesphore and Emma (Fortin) Landry.
Irene V. Broadmeadow
PAWTUCKET - Irene T. Broadmeadow, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday February 19, 2014 surrounded by her devoted family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward T. Broadmeadow Jr.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Maciej and Victoria (Bomba) Majka. She was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring Mrs. Broadmeadow was an Elementary School Teacher for 38 years in the Central Falls school system.
WARWICK - Dureault, Raymond, "Ray Dee" 94, of Warwick, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was the beloved friend of the late Marie "Loretta" Gruslin. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alfred and Celina (St. Gelais) Dureault. Mr. Dureault was a navy veteran of World War II. He was a steel worker at the former Newman Crosby Inc. of Pawtucket for 26 years before retiring.
Robert Hemond Sr.
CUMBERLAND - Robert Hemond Sr., 77, of Curran Road, passed away Monday at the Memorial Hospital of RI, Pawtucket. He was the husband of Barbara (Bessette) Hemond.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Germaine (Lavallee) Hemond. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
Mr. Hemond was employed as a Materials Handler for Osram - Sylvania of Central Falls for 14 years until his retirement. He was previously employed in the construction industry for many years.
Mr. Hemond was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, Broad Street, Cumberland.
Betty J. Lees
LINCOLN - Betty J. Lees, 93, of Sayles Hill Road, died Tuesday, February 18 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Lees.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William E. and Myrtis (Weaver) Martin, she had lived in Lincoln for many years.
Mrs. Lees was a schoolteacher at the Lonsdale School in Lincoln for twenty-six years, retiring in 1986.
She was a graduate of Pawtucket High School, Class of 1939, and R.I. State College, Class of 1943, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority.
Marion F. Schofield
BURRILLVILLE - Marion F. Schofield, 90, of Pascoag, died Monday, February 17, at the Pine Grove Health Center, Pascoag. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond T. Schofield.
Born in Valley Falls, a daughter of the late Campbell R. and Addie F. (Rafuse) Ewart, she had lived in Lincoln before moving to Pascoag twenty years ago.
Jean V. Hicks
CENTRAL FALLS - Jean V. Hicks, 94, passed away Wednesday after an illness. Born in Salem, MA a daugther of the late John and Helen Spaniak.
She has lived in Central Falls many years and had been employed as a nurse's aid.
She leaves a son James Hicks of Cumberland, 2 sisters, Helen Spaniak of Pawtucket and Sr. Mary Inocencia of CT also 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
A Private Funeral Service will be held Friday in the CHARLES COELHO Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.

LINCOLN - Gabrielle M. Marcotte, 87, of Lincoln, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Rosaire A. Marcotte and the mother of Charles L. Marcotte, Susan J. Famiglietti, Lisa M. Costa, Lori A. Longtin and Beth A. McLoughlin.

Edith V. Courchene
PORT RICHEY, FL - Edith V. (Whitmarsh) Courchene, 76, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Courchene. Born and raised in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Selma (Maiwald) Whitmarsh. Edith had resided in Marlborough, MA before retiring to Florida in 1985.
PAWTUCKET - Guckin, Elizabeth-Ann D. (Doyle) "Betty-Ann" 77, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Doyle.
Betty-Ann worked as an RN in the pediatric unit at Rhode Island Hospital then continued on to the VNA of Pawtucket, where she retired.
She was the loving mother of Jeffrey Guckin, sister to Douglas Doyle, and grandmother to Erica Szostek and Eli Guckin.
Helen M. Campbell
CUMBERLAND- Helen M. (Gontarski) Campbell, 76, formerly of East Barrows Street, passed away Monday at the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Joseph "Soupy" Campbell.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Wyzga) Gontarski.
She resided in Harrisville for the past 10 years, previously residing in Cumberland
Mrs. Campbell was employed as a welder for Texas Instruments Inc. for over 30 years until her retirement.
