STEPHEN JOHN DURAND
PAWTUCKET - Stephen John Durand, 57, of Trinity, FL (formerly of Pawtucket,RI) died Tuesday October 8 in New Port Richey, FL after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Loretta (Buckley) Durand. They were married 35 years.
PAWTUCKET - Edward J. Bourgault Jr., "Teddy" 75, passed on October 6th at his home with family by his side. He was the longtime companion of Elaine Sencar.
Teddy was the son of the late Edward J. and Pearl (Moon) Bourgault Sr. He was a self-employed painter for many years and was an Army Veteran.
Amelia (Monteiro) Rojao
PAWTUCKET - Amelia (Monteiro) Rojao, 91, of Englewood Ave., Pawtucket, died surrounded by her family Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of Jose J. Rojao.
Born May 2, 1923, in Valley Falls, RI, she was a daughter of Jose Monteiro and Maria do Carmo (Videira) Monteiro. She was a dress maker for many years at Pawtucket Dress before retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Anthonyâ€™s Church and was a member of Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente for 65 years.
RICHARD G. CARPENTER
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Richard G. Carpenter, 97, of North Providence, died October 6, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Christina (De Luca) Carpenter. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late George and Rose (Roy) Carpenter.
Donald M. Hayes
PAWTUCKET - Donald M. Hayes, formerly of Pawtucket died on October 2, 2014.
Mr. Hayes was born in Central Falls, the son of Irene (Desrosiers) Hayes of Central Falls and the late William E. Hayes. He worked in the security office for Brinks Corporation.
Besides his mother Mr. Hayes is survived by his daughters; Lindsey Hayes and Shayna. He also leaves his brothers William and Richard Hayes.
The funeral and burial for Mr. Hayes will be with full Military Honors in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery. For online condolences please visit
Lucy E. Harris
PAWTUCKET - Lucy E. (Ringland) Harris, 94, formerly of Pawtucket and Little Compton, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late John L. Harris. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Eastwood) Ringland. Lucy was the Chief Clerk and Hearing Officer at the Department of Motor Vehicles, Providence for twenty years until retiring. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
CUMBERLAND - Barbara "Julie" Woisard, 85, of Cumberland, died Monday. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Woisard. Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Sarah (Reid) Rush.
She was employed as a order clerk for Health-Tex Manufacturing until her retirement in 1991.
Julie was well known for the many years of devotion she gave to Saint Aidan's Seniors as a member and past president.
Michael J. Kane
PAWTUCKET - Michael J. Kane, 27, of Sweet Avenue, Pawtucket died October 2nd 2014 at Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Karen F. Kane and step-son of Brian Taylor.
After spending seven years in the US Army with tours in Iraq, he attended New England Tech.
Mr. Kane leaves a daughter, Taylor Kane, and two sisters, Alexandra Jarl and Samantha Kane.
Ruth A. Cabral
PAWTUCKET - Ruth A. (Flanagan) Cabral of Pawtucket entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Henry Cabral.
Mrs. Cabral was born Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Pierce) Flanagan. She was a counselor at group homes in the area and a self employed accountant.
CENTRAL FALLS - Joan (Vaillancourt) LHeureux, 73, of Central Falls died August 19, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Tetreault) Vaillancourt.
Prior to her retirement, Joan worked as a phlebotomist at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.
Joan is survived by her children, William Edward Borges of Florida and Donna Borges of South Attleboro, MA; her brothers, Jerry, Johnny, Eddy and George and 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Germaine Y. Francoeur
CUMBERLAND - Francoeur, Germaine Y. (Maynard), 95, of Cumberland, died on September 29, 2014. She was the wife of the late Leonard A. Francoeur. She was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie-Rose (Mercier) Maynard. She resided in Central Falls for fifty three years and many years in Pawtucket. She was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church and was a member of the Fogarty Manor Association in Pawtucket.
PAWTUCKET - Charles Slemon, 96, of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was the husband of the late Anna (Abgrab) Slemon. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Shafee and Annie (Hanna) Slemon. He lived most of his life in Pawtucket.
EAST PROVIDENCE - Armanda Andrade, 79, passed on September 29th with her family by her side. She was the wife of Guilherme de Andrade. They married for over 60 years.
PAWTUCKET - Violet (Wilson) Maillet 82, of Pawtucket, died Sunday at the Hallworth House in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Maillet.
She leaves behind three loving children, Cheryl Sullivan and her husband Kenneth, of Maine, Guy Maillet and Sandra Beaulieu both of Pawtucket.
Private services will be at a later date.
Irene S. Demers
PAWTUCKET - Irene S. (Derois) Demers, 99, formerly of Pawtucket passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Golden Crest Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Earl J. Demers. Born in Lakeport, NH, she was a daughter of the late Euzebe and Alouisia (Tremblay) Derois.
Mrs. Demers was a winder for Lebanon Mills until her retirement in 1975.
Noella M. Letourneau
PAWTUCKET - Noella M. Letourneau, 90, formerly of Pawtucket, died September 4, 2014 in Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert R. Letourneau Sr. Born in North Providence on Christmas day; she was the youngest of ten children born to the late Alfred and Valeda (Benoit) Lemieux.
