Albert F. Hopkins Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Albert F. Hopkins Jr., age 70, of Talcott Avenue, died February 28, 2011 at the Miriam Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Tabele) Hopkins. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Albert F. and Edna Mae (Plante) Hopkins.
He worked as a machinist for Foxboro Company for 21 years. He was a former member of the Teamsters Local 251.
Anne T. Pettis
PROVIDENCE - Anne T. Pettis of Providence died March 1, 2011. She was the wife of the late George Pettis.
Mrs. Pettis was born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Duffy) Manning. She was an assembler for Hasbro for many years.
Mrs. Pettis is survived by her children, Robin Brunner of Providence, Mary Smith of Warwick and Mark Pettis of Providence. She also leaves her sister Mary Laliberte of Lincoln, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Gordon C. Rattray
BROOKFIELD - Gordon C. Rattray, Jr., 90 of Brookfield, died Thursday, February 24, 2011. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Winifred (Harker)Rattray in 2007 and his son, Dana D. Rattray in 1969. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Surette, with whom he lived; grand-daughters Amy Beaupre of Lillian, AL and Rebecca Johnson of Jaffrey, NH; 6 great-grandchildren, and a brother and 3 sisters; Donald Rattray, Doris Gagne, Betty Brandenshaw and Jean Sharkey all of Rhode Island. His sister Catherine and brothers William, Robert and Norman Rattray predeceased him.
Normand H. Laramee
PAWTUCKET - Normand H. Laramee, 83, of Pawtucket died February 26, 2011. He was the husband of Doris A. (Pepin) Laramee. they had been married 64 years.
Mr. Laramee owned and operated Laramee Floor and Rug Cleaning for many years. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Mr. Laramee was a longtime fishing enthusiast, and a lifetime member of the Narragansett Salt Water Fishing Club.

ATTLEBORO - Raymond Arthur Lachance, 93, of Park Street, Attleboro; formerly of Mansfield and Rehoboth, died on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Annette Rita (Bergeron) Lachance, the love of his life, who died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Mr. and Mrs. Lachance celebrated 71 cherished years of marriage. The couple was married on November 30, 1939.
Sister Rose Gravel, OP
FALL RIVER - Sister Rose Gravel, OP, of the Dominican Sisters of Hope, 92, died Feb. 27, 2011.Sister Rose Gravel is survived by one sister, Olive Lemoine of Lincoln and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jean Gravel, Marguerite Cote, Albert, Roland, Christien, Raymond, Lucien and Calixte Gravel.

EAST PROVIDENCE - John L. Marshall. 82, of East Providence and Narragansett died Sunday, February 27, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Asermely) Marshall. They had been married 59 years.
Joseph E. Chandley
SEEKONK - Joseph E. Chandley of Seekonk Ma, died February 28, 2011. he was the husband of the late Elsie (Keenan) Chandley.
Mr. Chandley was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late James Joseph and Mabel (Donahue) Chandley.
He was the stepson of the late Helen (Shannon) Chandley, who fondly referred to his as â€śJoe Peteâ€ť
PAWTUCKET - Helen Lusko 94, of Primrose Street passed away Saturday February 26, 2011 at Home & Hospice Care of RI. She was the beloved wife of the late John Lusko.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Kazukewich) Kober. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 70 years.
Before retiring she was employed in the Blackstone Valley Area as a Textile Weaver for many years.
PAWTUCKET - Fernando Ferreira, 86, formerly of York Avenue, passed away Sunday in the Mansion Nursing Home, Central Falls. He was the husband of Maria H. (Mendes) Ferreira.
Born in Ferraria, Porto de Mos, Portugal, he was the son of the late Gracinda Ferreira. He moved to this country in 1969, settling in Pawtucket.
He was employed by the American Insulated Wire Company of Pawtucket for many years, retiring in 1987. He was previously a tailor in Mira de Aire, Portugal.
Mr. Ferreira was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Eileen F. Winiarski
PAWTUCKET- Eileen F. Winiarski formerly of Manton Street passed away Friday February 25, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Winiarski.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Ethel V.(Day) Newton. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 44 years and was formerly of Greenville.
Before retiring in 2000 she worker as a Jewelry and Box Maker for the former Dale Box Co. and also worked as a Machine operator and Sample Maker.
She was a Past Noble Grand of the International Order of Odd Fellows Manchester Unity Manchester, England.
Doris R. Gaumond
PAWTUCKET - Doris R. Gaumond, 86, of Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket died Saturday, February 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late Raymond Gaumond.
Mrs. Gaumond was born in the Albion section of Lincoln the daughter of the late Philibert and Florida (Lacombe) Riel. She was a binder for the former Samuel P. Harris Company for many years.

Gensy V. Vanterpool
PAWTUCKET - Gensy V. Vanterpool, 42, of Coyle Avenue, passed away on Tuesday at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence after an illness. He was the husband of the late Ivette(Figueroa) Vanterpool.
He was born in the Dominican Republic, a son of the late Montero Vanterpool and Gladys Correa and has lived in Pawtucket for the last 4 years. He had been employed as a service manager at Quirk VW of Quincy, MA. before retiring due to illness.

PAWTUCKET. Annette A. Goodwin, 68, of Main Street, passed away on Sunday after an illness. She was the wife of William Johnson and was recently married.
Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Rocco and Rose (Melchione) DeMaria. She has lived in Pawtucket for the last 8 years.
Oscar G. Marchand
PAWTUCKET - Oscar G. Marchand, 86, of Pawtucket passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was the husband of Jeannette (Grenier) Marchand. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Theodore and Yvonne (Bricault) Marchand. Mr. Marchand was a Veteran of the Coast Guard serving during WWII and was Production Manager at the former Paulis Silk Co. in Pawtucket for many years retiring in 1986.
George J. Steele
CUMBERLAND: George J. "Phantom" Steele, 67, died February 21, 2011 at Pine Grove Health Center in Pascoag, RI.
George was born November 10, 1943 in Boston, MA, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas and Pawtucket, RI. He was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Salvas) Steele. He is predeceased by a baby sister, Helen Steele, his brother Walter Steele Jr., and sisters Mary Robitaille and Rose Robitaille all of Pawtucket, RI.
