NORTH PROVIDENCE â€” Roberge, Gaston lived in North Providence for fifty nine years and died Friday the 22nd of April at home with his family. He was the husband of Ruth (Pooler) Roberge and the late Roberta (Clarke) Roberge. Besides his wife of fifty nine years together he leaves his daughter Roberta and her husband Neil Barnett of Newark, OH, his son William and his wife Catherine of Warwick, one sister Clare Bessette of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
WOONSOCKET - Laura (Rattelle) Petrin, 99, of Cumberland Hill Road and formerly of Cumberland died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Oakland Grove Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late William J. Petrin.
Born in Harrisville, a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Jane (Theroux) Rattelle, she had lived in Cumberland for over 55 years before moving to Woonsocket.
She was a communicant of Historic St. Joseph's Church, Cumberland and a former member of the Chimney Hill Tenants Association.
WOONSOCKET - Ludger Jutras, 96, of Woonsocket formerly of Pawtucket, died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Claire (Belair) Jutras and Marie (Guimont) Jutras.
Kathleen Anne Zant
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Kathleen Anne (Garabedian) Zant, 67, of Belvidere Boulevard, died peacefully Monday at Summit Commons. She was the beloved wife of James W. Zant. They were married for forty-four years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Courser) Garabedian-Svibergson.

Madeleine M. Phillips
EAST PROVIDENCE - Madeleine M. Phillips, of Rumford Towers, Rumford and formerly of Pawtucket died Saturday April 23, 2011. She was the beloved wife of William T. Phillips Jr. They had been married 56 years.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lauvina (Lamarche) Masse. She was a seamstress at the former Pawtucket Dress Company and a waitress at Howard Johnson.
Irene J. Goffe-Moroney
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Irene J. (Jannarelli) Goffe-Moroney, 83, of Obed Avenue, died Thursday, April 21 at the Greenville Skilled Nursing Center, Smithfield. She was the wife of Edward A. Moroney, Sr., and the wife of the late Malcolm S. Goffe.

PAWTUCKET - J. Paul Madden, 84, of Marbury Ave., Pawtucket died Friday at Memorial Hospital of RI. He was the husband of the late Theresa L. (Collins) Madden.
Born in MA, he was a son of the late James J. and Gertrude (McHugh) Madden and stepson of the late Mary Esther Madden. He had lived in Pawtucket for over 70 years.
He was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the American Theatre. He was a Manager of many local Department store chains over the years predominantly working for Zayre's.

BRUNSWICK, MAINE - Richard D. Rugg, 63, of Maine and formerly of Pawtucket, RI died April 17, 2011. Mr. Rugg was born in Boston, MA a son of the late Walter F. and Bessie H. (Leckie) Rugg. He had lived in Maine for the past 20 years. He was an auto body mechanic and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is survived by 2 daughters Annemarie Rugg and Kayla Soule, 1 sister Sharon Gentry and her husband Bob of North Scituate, 2 granddaughters, 1 niece Melanie Loesch, 1 nephew Christopher Gentry and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Cumberland, a daughter of the late Eugene and Angelina (Porcelli) Jannarelli, she had lived in North Providence for the past fourteen years.
Mrs. Goffe-Maroney was a Matron at Shea High School, Pawtucket and a waitress at the Friendly Tap & Grille.
PAWTUCKET - Adela Lopez, 88, formerly of Coates Manor, passed away on Thursday at home & Hospice care of RI in Providence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Aguas Buenas, P.R. a daughter of the late Francisco Vasquez and Maria Alamos. She had lived in Pawtucket since 1992 and had been employed in area factories.

CUMBERLAND - Loretta G. Cooper, 100, formerly of Diamond Hill Road, passed away in the Hebert Nursing Home on Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was wife of the late George R. Cooper.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Polydore and Emeline (Couture) Lajeunesse. She was a life-long Cumberland resident.
Mrs. Cooper was employed for several years as a clerk for the former Ann & Hope Stores of Cumberland.
She was a member of St. Aidan Seniors, and a communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church, and most recently St. Aidan Church.
PAWTUCKET - Margarida Alexandre, age 95, of Dora St., a winder at the former Crown Spring Mill, died Tuesday afternoon at the Evergreen House in East Providence.
Born Aug. 31, 1915 in Moimenta daSerra, Gouveia,Lisbon, she was the last surviving child of the late Luciano Alexandre and Felicidade daCosta (Martins) Alexandre. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
LINCOLN - Fern (Andrews) Caldwell, 70, of Manville Avenue, Manville died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Landmark medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harold G. and Ruth H. (McMinn) Andrews, she had lived in Cumberland for most of her life before moving to Manville 3 years ago.
Mrs. Caldwell was a shipping and receiving clerk for Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket before retiring.
PAWTUCKET - Kenneth "Sarge" Velzis, 64, of Rhode Island Ave, passed April 17th at the VA Hospital.
He was the son of Rose (Delphe) Ousley and the late Edward J. Velzis.
Kenneth was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by two daughters, Gina Velzis and Colleen Wallace, a son, Kenneth Velzis Jr, four brothers, Edward, Richard, and Ronald Velzis and James Ousley and a sister, Sandra Ousley.

CRANSTON - Francis M. Jordan, 93, of Cranston died April 19, 2011 in Providence. He was the husband of Tina (Chernick) Jordan. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Nancy Hecker of Newport News VA. Mr. Jordan was the husband of the late Josephine (Mecchi) Jordan and the father of the late Mark A. Jordan
Mr. Jordan was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Aiden and Jane Jordan.
PAWTUCKET - William Jankura, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was the husband of the late Henrietta (Beauchemin) Jankura. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Conlon) Jankura.

CUMBERLAND - Dorothy M. (Thompson) Andrews, 85, of Meadow Avenue passed away surrounded by her loving family Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Warren C. Andrews.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Malcolm E. and Elizabeth P. (Montgomery) Thompson, she had lived in Cumberland and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church for the past 57 years. She was previously employed by Hasbro in the toy industry. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, and hosting her family at home.

WOONSOCKET - Evo J. "Curly" Donnini, 93, formerly of Cato St., Woonsocket, died Wednesday evening at The Villages at Waterman Lake in Greenville. He was the husband of the late Martha (Nytka) (Oliveira) Donnini.
Born and raised in Manville, he was a son of the late Gino "Ciro" and Josephine (Pialunga) Donnini. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Donnini served in the Army during WWII. He was an instructor in radio and landing operations for the Army Air Corps and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
