Claire R. Beaudette
PAWTUCKET - Claire R. (Blanchette) Beaudette, 96, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Herve Beaudette. Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Lionel and Mary (Lemieux) Blanchette, she resided in Central Falls before moving to Pawtucket over thirty-five years ago.
Claire had been a housekeeper at the Wannamoisett Country Club, and was previously a winder at American Insulated Wire Company for twenty-five years and at the Joyal VanDale Company for twelve years.
David A. Wildenhain
PAWTUCKET - David A. Wildenhain, 87, of Pawtucket passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2014. He was the loving husband of Marceline (Brook) Wildenhain.
Mr. Wildenhain was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Bartholomew Wildenhain and Magdelyn (McGuirk) Wildenhain. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in WWII.
David was a Union Carpenter for many years serving in the Local 342 Union.
Mary T. Handrigan
REHOBOTH - Mary T. (Reilly) Handrigan, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward "Ted" L. Handrigan and the daughter of the late Philip J. and Mary (Callaghan) Reilly. Mary was a lifelong Pawtucket resident, until moving to her daughter's home in Rehoboth
in 2006. She worked in the Advertising Department of both the Pawtucket Times and Sun Chronicle for many years until her retirement. Mary was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother; she also loved caring for her dogs, Raven and Reilly.
CUMBERLAND - Veronika Dobosz, 91, passed away Sunday November 9, 2014 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Dobosz.
Born in Poland she was a daughter of the late Jozef and Regina (Marszalek) Wardzala. She lived in Cumberland for the past 4 years and was formerly of Central Falls.
Before retiring Mrs. Dobosz was employed as a Weaver for the Murdock Webbing Co. for 25 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church Holy Rosary Society and was an avid reader and loved sewing and gardening.
Eva P. Valentine
CUMBERLAND - Eva P. (Pereira) Valentine, 92, formerly of Dunnell Avenue, Pawtucket passed away Saturday at the Mt. St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Earl J. Valentine.
Born in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Pereira. She was resided in Pawtucket for 30 years.
Mrs. Valentine was employed as an Operator for New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for over 40 years until her retirement.
Eva loved to volunteer at the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, and also volunteered at St. Mary Church CCD Program.
Michael J. Marszalkowski
PAWTUCKET - Michael J. Marszalkowski, 83, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. He was the husband of Anna (Petas) Marszalkowski. Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Adam and Agnes (Kulik) Marszalkowski. Michael was a self-employed Mason for 50 years, retiring in 2003. An avid Country Music fan, he liked to watch, listen to, and play it on the guitar. He loved nature, and he loved his dogs.
Zachary G. Delmar, Sr.
W. WARWICK - Zachary G. Delmar, Sr. 21, died unexpectedly Friday, November 7, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted fiancÃ© of Kayla Bolarinho, of West Warwick. He was born in Attleboro, MA the son of Loretta Delmar of Liberty, NC and the late Gary Urquhart of Walpole, MA. He worked in food service at BJ's in Coventry.
In addition to his fiancÃ© and mother he leaves a son, Zachary G. Delmar, Jr., a sister Amelia Delmar of Staley, NC, and nieces and nephews Kayleigh Baker, Lannie Baker, Brianna King, and Michael King.
Raymond L. Fournier
CENTRAL FALLS - Raymond L. Fournier, 85, died on November 8th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Claire P. (Hudon) Fournier. On May 14th they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was a Hunt and School St. resident, before moving to 1 Mendon Rd, Cumberland.
He was the son of the late Raymond L. and Mary (Pelletier) Fournier.
PAWTUCKET - Irene Champagne, 102, of Pawtucket, died Thursday. She was the wife of the late Emile P. Champagne. They had been married 30 years. Born in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada she was a daughter of Lucias (Guimond) and Thare Labranche. She was the 7th of 13 children.
Mrs. Champagne was a member of the "Dames de St. Anne" of the former Notre Dame Church, in Central Falls.
She leaves one daughter, Therese Durocher of Swanville, ME; grandsons, Russell Durocher of Ayer, MA and Ryan Durocher of Woodland Hills, CA and a great grandson.
CUMBERLAND - Gerard "Rusty" Routhier, 86, passed away on November 4th with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Estelle (Chartier) Routhier, to whom he had been married for 65 years.
Born in, and a life-long resident of, Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late Arthur and Lucienne (Proulx) Routhier. He was a graduate of Academie du Sacre Coeur, Class of 1947. Rusty retired from the Central Falls Police Department as a Captain after 25 years of service. He was Central Falls' first motorcycle officer.
Clifford F. McClelland, Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Clifford Francis McClelland, Jr., 80, of Mendon Rd., Cumberland, died on Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice in Providence.
Born in Mansfield, MA, on September 24, 1934, he was a son of the late Clifford F. Sr. and Eleanor (Couture) McClelland.
He resided in Cumberland since 2002 having previously resided in Pawtucket for 20 years.
Mr. McClelland was a retired machinist having been employed by Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 20 years before retiring in 1995.
Marcelino Baptista Lopes
PAWTUCKET - Marcelino Baptista Lopes, "Chalo" 72, passed on October 31, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Joao Baptista Lopes and Maria Antonia Lopes.
Robert G. LaFleur
WARWICK - Robert G. LaFleur, 90, passed on October 31st. He was the husband of the late Claire (Donaldson) LaFleur.
He was the son of the late Francis W. and Florida LaFleur.
Bob had been employed at various companies as a machinist and toolmaker for 40 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Thelma E. Brett
PAWTUCKET - Thelma E. Brett, 86, of Cumberland and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with her entire family by her side Saturday, November 01, 2014. She was the wife of the late William J. Brett Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Frank Winfield Carr and Ruth (Clark) Carr.
Carol J. DeGrafft
PAWTUCKET - Carol J. DeGrafft, 74, of Pawtucket died on October 31, 2014. Carol was the wife of Alan DeGrafft. They had been married thirty six years.
Mrs. DeGrafft was born in Cumberland, the daughter of the late Joseph Desnoyers and Edith (Bordeau) Desnoyers.
Besides her husband Alan, Carol is survived by her sons, John Viveiros of Providence and Alan DeGrafft of Pawtucket. She was the mother of the late John Viveiros.
Betty V. Maliandi
GLEN RIDGE, NJ - Betty Maliandi (nee Betty Virginia Piggott) died October 13, 2014 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She was born on May 6, 1925 in Pawtucket Rhode Island, the third child of George Owen and Carrie Elizabeth Piggott. She is predeceased by her siblings Carolyn Rose, Thomas Alton, Edith Claire and Burton King Piggott, and her beloved husband, Joseph Maliandi.
Patricia A. Gomes
PAWTUCKET - Patricia A. Gomes, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 25, 2014. She was the loving companion of Miguel Londono. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frances Walker. Patricia was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Pedro S. Correia
PAWTUCKET - Pedro S. Correia, 54, passed on October 26th. He was the husband of Maria (Eduarda) Correia.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Joao Sousa and
Gilda Sousa Correia. He was a member of the Lusitania Club, Madeira Club, Portuguese Social Club, Banda Nova Alianca the Uniao Portuguesa Beneciente.
Pedro was the proprietor of the Three Flags Bakery of Central Falls for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Correia and Peter Correia, three brothers, Jose C., Joao A., and Ricardo Sousa.
Rhea L. Pouliot
ATTLEBORO - Rhea L. (Fournier) Pouliot, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was the wife of the late Nazaire J. Pouliot. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Olevine (Lachance) Fournier.
Rhea worked as a seamstress at Health-Tex for many years until her retirement. She was a hard worker who was devoted to her family. Rhea enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, square-dancing and in her younger years, roller-skating at the former Bobby's Rollaway, Pawtucket.
Robert B. Hockenson
CUMBERLAND - Robert B. Hockenson, 61, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Joyce R. (Boucher) Hockenson for twenty-two years. Born in Attleboro, a son of Charles Hockenson of Florida and the late Helen (Resch) Hockenson, he resided in Cumberland most of his life.
