Betty V. Maliandi
GLEN RIDGE, NJ - Betty Maliandi (nee Betty Virginia Piggott) died October 13, 2014 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. She was born on May 6, 1925 in Pawtucket Rhode Island, the third child of George Owen and Carrie Elizabeth Piggott. She is predeceased by her siblings Carolyn Rose, Thomas Alton, Edith Claire and Burton King Piggott, and her beloved husband, Joseph Maliandi.
Patricia A. Gomes
PAWTUCKET - Patricia A. Gomes, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 25, 2014. She was the loving companion of Miguel Londono. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frances Walker. Patricia was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Pedro S. Correia
PAWTUCKET - Pedro S. Correia, 54, passed on October 26th. He was the husband of Maria (Eduarda) Correia.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Joao Sousa and
Gilda Sousa Correia. He was a member of the Lusitania Club, Madeira Club, Portuguese Social Club, Banda Nova Alianca the Uniao Portuguesa Beneciente.
Pedro was the proprietor of the Three Flags Bakery of Central Falls for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen Correia and Peter Correia, three brothers, Jose C., Joao A., and Ricardo Sousa.
Rhea L. Pouliot
ATTLEBORO - Rhea L. (Fournier) Pouliot, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was the wife of the late Nazaire J. Pouliot. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Olevine (Lachance) Fournier.
Rhea worked as a seamstress at Health-Tex for many years until her retirement. She was a hard worker who was devoted to her family. Rhea enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, square-dancing and in her younger years, roller-skating at the former Bobby's Rollaway, Pawtucket.
Robert B. Hockenson
CUMBERLAND - Robert B. Hockenson, 61, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Joyce R. (Boucher) Hockenson for twenty-two years. Born in Attleboro, a son of Charles Hockenson of Florida and the late Helen (Resch) Hockenson, he resided in Cumberland most of his life.
Irene M. Palenski-Dziok
EAST PROVIDENCE - Irene M. Palenski-Dziok (Leskiewicz), 88, passed away Friday October 24, 2014 at Home & Hospice Care Of Rhode Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley L. Palenski and the late Casimer J. "Charlie" Dziok.
Born in Lawrence, MA she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Dykas) Leskiewicz. She lived in Rumford for the past 27 years.
Mary "Carol" Jones
PORTSMOUTH, NH - Mary Carol Jones, 82, of Portsmouth, NH died on October 18, 2014. She was the wife of Earl W. "Jake" Jones for 60 years.
Carol touched and inspired many lives through her endless love, deeply caring nature & deep-rooted spiritual devotion. Her kindness and her faith brought strength to those who Carol cared for as a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, nurse and friend. We were all blessed to have her in our lives.
Bertha H. Norek
CENTRAL FALLS - Bertha H. Norek, 95, of Tremont Street passed away Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston.
Born in Cumberland she was a daughter of the late Tomasz and Franciszka (Pasek) Norek. She lived in Central Falls for most of her life.
Miss Norek is survived by several nieces and nephews also many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Josephine Carlin, Julia Rupar and Helen Ziochouski.
Gerald G. Larocque
SEEKONK - Larocque, Gerald George, 87, of Seekonk, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital after a difficult battle with end-stage heart and lung condition.
Walter R. Mercier
WAREHAM - Walter R. Mercier passed away at home on Saturday, October 4, 2014. He was the husband of Brenda A. (McNulty) Mercier and the former husband of Donna Mae (Thorpe) (Mercier) Pollitt.
Walter was born in Pawtucket and was the son of the late Norman J. and Fedora M. (Laliberte) Mercier. Walter graduated from Saint Raphael Academy. He was employed at Lebanon Knitting Mills and eventually retired from Hanora Spinning.
TAUNTON - Normand Lamarre, 84, passed away on Oct. 21, 2014. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Alice L. (Girouard) Lamarre.
He is survived by Gilberte (Audet) Lamarre, his loving wife of 44 years, their two sons, Normand and Charles, three grandchildren, two brothers, Maurice of Pawtucket and Francis of Port Charlotte, FL, and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Albert and sister Therese Forest.
Marion E. Collinge
CUMBERLAND - Marion E. (Otte) Collinge, 91, of Cumberland passed away Thursday at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Collinge and Earl Cooke.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hildur (Sward) Otte. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life, previously residing in North Smithfield.
Mrs. Collinge was employed as an assembler for the A.T. Cross Company of Lincoln for many years until her retirement. She was also a self-employed hairdresser for many years.
Juliette M. Nagle
PAWTUCKET - Juliette M. (Vaughn) Nagle, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 to rejoin her late beloved husband, James "Sparky" P. Nagle. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late James M., Sr. and Katherine (Flood) Vaughn. Juliette enjoyed sewing and gardening, but above all she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

PAWTUCKET - James G. Karneeb, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Edith (Farrington) Karneeb for fifty-eight years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Thomas and Josephine (Teebagy) Karneeb.
John G. Poisson
EAST PROVIDENCE - John G. Poisson, 75, of Rumford, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was the former husband of Eileen Abboud of North Providence and Antoinette Poisson of Pompano Beach, Florida. Born in East Douglas, MA, he was a son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Bowness) Poisson and the stepson of the late Juliette (Salois) Poisson.
Ronald Raymond Hall
PAWTUCKET - Ronald Raymond Hall, 54, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket, passed away on Tuesday morning after a long illness. He was born in Pawtucket, a son of Jeannette (Mailhot) Hall and Ronald F. Hall. He was the step-son of Robert J. Courtemanche.
Ronald had been employed as a truck driver for Pascale Trucking for many years until retiring due to illness.
He was an avid electric guitar player and enjoyed all music. Ron was also an avid Red Sox and Miami Dolphins fan.
David J. Threlfall
PAWTUCKET - David J. Threlfall, 60, passed on October 19th unexpectedly at home.
He was the son of Carmen (Bibeau) Threlfall and the late John J. Threlfall.
David had been employed by Key Container for over 30 years he was an avid card player.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Russell P. Threlfall of Cumberland, a sister, Colleen Klegraefe of Pawtucket, three nephews, Corey Threlfall, Jason and Derek Klegraefe.
Laureano A. Morales
PAWTUCKET - Laureano A. Morales, 78, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 after an illness. He was born in El Salvador, a son of the late Valereano de Jesus Arevalo and Silveiria Ester Morales and has resided in Rhode Island since 1976. He had been employed at the former Healthtex of Pawtucket and at Chinette of East Providence before retiring.
Doris L. Shea
PAWTUCKET - Doris L. (Plamondon) Shea, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 17, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin L. Shea. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Oscar A. and Emma (Camire) Plamondon.
Doris was a seamstress at Health-Tex for nearly forty years until its closing. She will always be remembered as a strong woman and for her great sense of humor. Doris was an avid Red Sox fan; devoted Bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
